Introduction

Drumming, singing, dancing, and story telling are a few of the most dynamic and exciting elements of communities around the world. Throughout recorded (and pre-recorded!) time, people have gathered to celebrate life's significant moments and pass on lessons and traditions through these primal, expressive, and inspiring experiences. The Rhythm Of Life!™ programs are village-style, rhythm based events that integrate powerful life metaphors with the exhilaration of community music making and celebration.

Drawing from the vibrant musical culture of Africa, The Rhythm Of Life!™ experience also weaves in traditional music from Brazil, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and the United States. Participants are invited to explore and appreciate the contributions of other cultures within a context of personal discovery. Our music and movement programs provide inspiration, joy, and community building, as well as a greater appreciation for oneself and others

Overview

The effectiveness of The Rhythm Of Life!™ programs include a unique fusion of folkloric music with a highly tuned system of focusing, multi-tracking, and rhythmic activities called Kinesthetic Rhythma-Learning™ (KRL). Kinesthetic Rhythma-Learning™ is a technique through which people interact with the basics of community development (respect, responsibility, synergy) via dynamic rhythmic sensory awareness activities.

The Rhythm Of Life!™ successfully integrates the power of group song, with rhythmic learning games and dynamic drum, vocal, and dance experiences. Participants of all levels and skill abilities engage in creating music with voices, drums and multiple percussion instruments. Everyone leaves a The Rhythm Of Life!™ program feeling successful, fulfilled, and inspired. And, because relevant life metaphors are brought into the experience, the learning continues beyond the thrill of the event.
