| Kimi Eisele studied ballet, tap, jazz, and modern for 10 years and thought her dancing days were over; then she found West African dance! It changed her entire perception of movement and essential communication. Kimi is a writer, and the editor/mentor for 110 Degrees, a new youth magazine about Tucson. She has coordinated writing and arts programs with children in Ecuador, Mexico, and the U.S. and loves inspiring and watching children and adolescents learn to express themselves. | Leza Carter has been an educator for over 10 years. With a degree in modern languages and a background in ESL instruction and garden design, she currently works in the public school system as an outdoor learning specialist and gardening teacher. Leza's love for children and commitment to connecting with young people whenever possible, coupled with her passion for West African Dance and rhythms, are what brought her to The Rhythm Of Life!™. For Leza, to see children from all backgrounds experience the joy and freedom of movement that she too, has experienced through her dance, is to bear witness to the universality of these rhythms and their healing nature. It is her greatest pleasure to introduce young people to the infinitely empowering world of self-expression through music and dance. |
